Main villa
The main villa, with a total surface area of 1.184 sq.m, dates back to the end of the 19th century and has been fully restored.
The building has 3 floors plus a tower and basement area.
On the ground floor, which is slightly raised above the garden, there is a very bright living area. This part of the property retains some of the original period features, such as the beautiful venetian mosaic floors, the high, frescoed ceilings and the main staircase with bush-hammered finish which has been partially restored by master artisans.
This floor benefits from two entrances: the main one and one from the kitchen which leads to the outdoor barbecue area. The main entrance leads to the large living room with fireplace and direct access to the 50 sq.m terrace. From the living room, going through the foyer to the bottom of the main staircase, you can access the dining room and fully-equipped kitchen where there is another wood-burning fireplace. Finally, on this level there is also a guest bathroom and a little sitting room which would be ideal as a private studio.
The first floor comprised three large bedrooms, all with en-suite bathroom, in high-quality, different coloured marble.
Upstairs, there is another floor with luxury finishings in a more contemporary style than the rest of the property; floors, furniture and beams in solid wood give this area a very warm, welcoming feel.
With two bedrooms, a bathroom, a studio and a little sitting room, this area also has all the connections necessary to install a kitchen, which would make it semi-independent.
From this level it is possible to access the ‘belvedere’ tower via a spiral staircase, which provides a beautiful 360° view of the surrounding countryside: from the nearest town and the pre-alpine mountains on one side to the pretty hills on the other which have mostly been planted with vineyards.
Finally, on the basement floor you will find the gym with spa area, shower, sauna, turkish bath, bathroom, beautiful indoor pool which is linked via a portable bulkhead to an outdoor relaxation area, a pretty wine cellar and a large, 4-car garage.
Each floor, apart from the tower, can be reached via an indoor lift.
The annex
The property also includes an annex of around 266 sq.m in total, not far from the main building and benefiting from separate car access.
Over two floors, the building is in a rural style and was completely restored in the 1980s, maintaining its unusual ceramic brick structure.
On the ground floor, a large porch provides access to the living area, which comprises the kitchen and living/dining room. Also on this floor there is a bathroom, a laundry room and utility rooms.
A wooden staircase provides access to the upper floor, where there are three large bedrooms and another bathroom. From this level, a gallery runs the whole length of the porch below.
External areas
The grounds, of over 12,000 sq.m, are a pleasant example of a ‘mature’ garden, with tall trees (horse chestnut and magnolia) and flowerbeds which line the pathway up to the main entrance, both to the villa and the annex.
The barbecue and relaxation areas, beside the swimming pool, are equipped with outdoor furniture of the highest quality, which provide a contemporary touch to this classic building.
In the area behind the main building, there is a variety of fruit trees and the whole perimeter of the grounds is surrounded by hedges and trees, which provides maximum privacy from the outside.
Finally, there is a little chapel, which is decorated with frescoes and paintings of the period.
