Short Description
House, 4 rooms, 2 wc, 147m2, Orbetello.
Ansedonia: "La Luce del Mare", truly original villa with lots of light, sea view and garden.
The house that makes a gesture!
Truly original project for Ansedonia, it gives the idea of a hand which, with a gesture, traces a semicircle of porches and windows around the garden, to steal its light and view and deliver it to the house! The saloon is a flying saucer that travels towards the sea! The project is by the engineer Tarantelli, apparently inspired by the rationalism of the 30s and 40s and in particular by its applications in Alpine architecture. However, the villa was built in 1952, when Ansedonia was still a virgin promontory; the terraced garden, the rounded, somewhat shell-like shape of the house, the terraces with staggered floors, give the villa relief effects, which make it stand out from the surface. The house is owned by an artist and that doesn't surprise us at all. In order not to bore further, I refer those who are interested in learning more about my fantasies about architecture to a short video dedicated to the subject that you can find below.
